What is A Trustee?

Each Debtor once filed will be assigned a trustee. They are court appointed officials who oversee the case. Each Debtor gets a chance to meet their trustee at their one court appearance. There is not a judge present, but your attorney will be there to represent you and you  will  be sworn in to answer a few simple questions by your trustee. They are not trick questions and this is not a deposition. The trustee must ask these questions so they can move your case along to the discharge of your case.
